Meet Jonathan Yang
Having recently taken over the reigns from Judy Murray, Jonathan is dedicated to servicing and helping the community of Murwillumbah by keeping the doors of the Family Health Centre open.
Jonathan Yang is a Doctor of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine, a licensed and board-certified acupuncturist, and herbalist. Jonathan founded the Life Synergy in 2008 and currently acts as Clinic Director. As a practitioner, Jonathan is known for his intuitive approach to Chinese medicine and particularly for his skills as an acupuncturist and energy healer.
With 15 years of clinical experience, running his own multi-modality clinic in Burleigh Heads for the last decade, Jonathan is excited by the prospect of being able to assist Murwillumbah by offering Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine to the greater community.
Having come from a Chinese family, Jonathan has learnt to live and embrace the Taoist philosophy of being present, known commonly as ‘living in the moment’. Over time he has found the more in tune he is physically, the better he feels mentally and spiritually.
Jonathan's key areas of interest include fertility, tension and stress related syndromes, anxiety and depression, pain, and assisting elderly patients with mobility and pain reduction.
He was drawn to practice Traditional Chinese Medicine not only to help others feel better, but also to help them understand themselves better. Incorporating acupuncture, body work, Dynamic Neurological Stabilisation (DNS) breath work, mindfulness-based meditation, Chinese herbal medicine as well as western herbs, he educates his patients to understand their body, thought patterns and stress responses so they are able to deeply heal- body mind and spirit.
